Hundreds of folks took a break from winter – – and a very snowy January day – – to celebrate our  4th Annual Share-a-Glass event, held on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at the UAW Local 14 Hall. This is always a fun beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres event that showcases our northwest Ohio-based nonprofit organizations, and recognizes the many contributions of our donors, workplaces and sponsors.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the 4th Annual Dr. Robert Brundage Award to William E. Takacs, managing partner of Gallon, Takacs, Boissoneault & Schaffer Co. L.P.A. Bill embodies the NOCS mission and the legacy of Robert Brundage through his leadership in the Firm in support of NOCS and his past and present personal service to many non-profits throughout the area, including Compass, Owens Community College, SASI, Harbor House, Toledo Area Humane Society, and EqualityToledo.

Live–and lively–music was provided by What’s Next., headed up by community leader Steve Steel. Hand-painted wine and beer glasses were donated for sale by longstanding volunteer Renee Obrock, while hand-painted winebottle centerpieces decorated the event and were also available for sale. Thanks to all our Committee members and volunteers who put in so much time to make this event a success!
