Northwest Ohio Community Shares was founded in 1997 by a small coalition of five local non-profits representing health and human services, animal welfare, the environment, and social justice. Our membership has grown to include 26 agencies and expanded to included arts groups – all listed on our donation forms, empowering donors to target their giving. In our first 15 years, giving has totalled more than $1 million, and has all stayed in our local community!
