Sylvania Avenue\, Sylvania\, Ohio)\, starting at 6 pm. The event features auctions\, raffles\, music\, grazing and a cash bar (with our special Swamp Juice) in a fun and casual atmosphere. \nNorthwest Ohio Community Shares is federation of local non-profit organizations with a common goal of improving life in our area. Community Shares provides funding and visibility for local non-profits which address some of the most pressing needs facing our community today: health and human services\, education\, the arts\, the environment\, animal welfare\, social justice and equality. Through their individual and unique missions\, these member agencies make this community a better place to live. During its fall workplace campaigns\, Community Shares provides additional choices for charitable giving. The donor designated workplace campaigns run by Community Shares provide a means for member nonprofits to connect with area employees\, sharing their stories and volunteer opportunities.

DESCRIPTION:Get in on the fun during the Shares419 Day of Giving on April 19 2023 (419 Day) by buying a raffle ticket or several for the chance to win a gift card worth at least $25 or one of a few experiences. \nBuy tickets here: Raffle Tickets \nTickets and gift cards will be randomly pulled several times durding the day on April 19\, with results posted on our Facebook page. \nWhen you purchase a ticket\, we will ask you for your name\, address\, and phone number so we can contact you if you win. We will also ask you for your email address as a secondary way to contact you. Your email will also be provided to Toledo.com so we can keep you up to date on all of the cool things happening in the 419. (Toledo.com does provide you with the opportunty to opt out of these great emails.) \nRaffle tickets will be sold until noon EDT on April 18 2023.\nDrawings will take place throughout the day on Wednesday\, April 19 2023.\n \nIndividual tickets are $4.19 each\, with bundles of 3\, 7\, 20 and 50 also available. All proceeds will benefit Northwest Ohio Community Shares. \nCommunity Shares increases funding and awareness for a diverse group of local\, independent charities that strong\, healthy communities and a more equitable Northwest Ohio by broadening donor choice. Proceeds from the raffle will allow Community Shares to continue its mission of democratic philanthropy. \nEach ticket purchased ticket provides one chance to win. There is no limit to how many tickets may be purchased by a single individual. The winners will be announced throughout the day on April 19 2023 as part of our Day of Giving \nWinners may choose to have their prize mailed to them or can make arrangements to pick it up at the Community Shares Office (2413 Collingwood Blvd.\, Toledo\, OH 43620). Purchasing a raffle ticket is a non-tax deductible donation. \n—— \nEligibility: \nBy participating in the 2023 Shares419 day of giving raffle\, you agree to these official rules\, which are a contract. \nNorthwest Ohio Community Shares is the sponsor of the 419 Raffle (referred to as “Raffle”). Community Shares is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The purpose of the Raffle is to raise funds for Community Shares. \nTickets are available for purchase beginning on March 21 2023. Raffle tickets will no longer be available for purchase after noon EST on Tuesday\, April 18 2023. Winners will be drawn and announced on Wednesday\, April 19 2023\, via Community Shares’ Facebook. \nAny person 21 years of age or older\, residing where the Raffle is not prohibited\, may purchase a chance (referred to as “Ticket”) to be entered in the Raffle (referred to as the “Ticket Holder”). Employees of Community Shares are prohibited from purchasing tickets. \nBy purchasing a Ticket\, each Ticket Holder accepts and agrees to be bound by all the rules\, limitations\, conditions\, and restrictions set forth herein (referred to as the “Rules”)\, as well as all applicable local\, state\, and federal laws and regulations. Community Shares has sole discretion in all matters concerning the Raffle and its interpretation and application of the Rules shall be final. Please contact Community Shares if you have questions regarding the Rules or the Raffle. The Raffle is void where prohibited by law. \nBy purchasing a Ticket\, each Ticket Holder releases Community Shares and the nonprofit’s Directors\, Officers\, Employees\, and Agents\, from any and all liability with respect to the raffle\, including\, but not limited to\, the selection process and the interpretation and application of the Rules\, and from any and all liability for injuries\, losses\, or damages of any kind caused by winning Prize or resulting from acceptance\, possession\, use\, or misuse of winning Prize\, and each Ticket Holder agrees to indemnify and hold Community Shares harmless from any and all losses\, damages\, rights\, claims\, and actions of any kind arising in connection with the winner’s acceptance or use of winning Prize. Ticket Holder agrees to the use of their name\, likeness\, and any statements made by them regarding the Prize may be disclosed to\, and used by\, the news media and may otherwise be used by Community Shares for advertising or publicity purposes without compensation\, and in any published articles in area newspapers and other media. \nThe cost to purchase a single Ticket for the Raffle is $4.19 (U.S. Funds only). Any eligible person may purchase more than one Ticket. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid Tickets sold. Tickets will no longer be available for purchase after noon EST on Tuesday\, April 18 2023. Any unsold tickets become the property of Community Shares\, and will not be included in the drawing. Ticket Holders will receive an email which confirms receipt of payment. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles\, lotteries\, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts\, and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. A Ticket is not valid and shall not be entered in the Raffle until full and satisfactory payment for such Ticket is received Community Shares. Tickets are non-transferable once purchased. \nIf a Ticket Holder’s payment by credit card is declined or payment is dishonored by the bank for any reason\, such Ticket Holder’s Ticket shall be invalid and will not be entered in the drawing\, unless full and satisfactory payment is made by noon EST on Tuesday\, April 18 2023. Community Shares will endeavor to notify the invalidated Ticket Holder by phone at the number or email provided on the ticket purchasing website; however\, any failure to do so shall not cause the Ticket to become valid\, cause the Ticket to be entered in the Raffle\, or give rise to any claim or cause of action on behalf of the invalidated Ticket Holder. \nIn the event that more than one name is listed on a Ticket\, the first name listed shall be deemed to be the Ticket Holder. Delivery or payment of the Prize shall be made to the Ticket Holder. It is the responsibility of the Ticket Holder to allocate any such Prize among the participants in a multiple-party Ticket and Community Shares\, its Directors\, Officers\, Employees\, and Agents\, shall have no liability for any failure to do so. \nThe Raffle Drawing shall take place via several livestreams on Wednesday\, April 19 2023 on the Community Shares Facebook page. Anyone can view the raffle drawing live online at (https://www.facebook.com/northwestohiocommunityshares). In order to be eligible for the Raffle Drawing\, a Ticket Holder must have purchased their Ticket online before noon EST on Tuesday\, April 18 2023. The winning Ticket will be randomly chosen\, and the winner of the raffle will be notified via contact information provided. If the Raffle is not held\, all money will be returned to the Ticket Holders. There is no substitution of Prize. Ticket Holders do not need to be tuned into the Facebook Live broadcast to win. \nClaiming a Prize. Winning Ticket Holder will be notified by phone and/or email at the number or email address provided when the Ticket was purchased. Community Shares shall notify the winner within seven days of the drawing. \nExcept as otherwise provided herein\, the Ticket Holder who wins the Prize is responsible for all costs associated with Prize\, including\, but not limited to\, any local\, state\, and federal taxes that may be applicable. \nOnly one winner will be selected for each gift card or experience.
