| $25Romp in the Swamp, the annual fundraiser for Northwest Ohio Community Shares, will be held on June 8, 2018 at the Olander Park Nederhouser Hall (6930 W. Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio), starting at 6 pm. The event features auctions, raffles, music, grazing and a cash bar (with our special Swamp Juice) in a fun and casual atmosphere. Pam Pullella, Community Shares Executive Director, stated: “The Events Committee is really excited about its new venue at Olander Park. As a federation that supports local nonprofits, Romp in the Swamp honors the fact that we are located in the area formerly known as the Great Black Swamp. Funds raised at the Romp underwrite a major portion of our workplace-campaign expenses.”
Through the ROMP, attendees help Community Shares support the work of our member agencies. Advance tickets are $25 per person or 2 for $40. (Limited tickets will be available at the door for $30 per person or 2 for $50.) Tickets can be purchased by contacting Community Shares at 419-243-6637 or online at https://romp2018.brownpapertickets.com
Northwest Ohio Community Shares is federation of local non-profit organizations with a common goal of improving life in our area. Community Shares provides funding and visibility for local non-profits which address some of the most pressing needs facing our community today: health and human services, education, the arts, the environment, animal welfare, social justice and equality. Through their individual and unique missions, these member agencies make this community a better place to live. During its fall workplace campaigns, Community Shares provides additional choices for charitable giving. The donor designated workplace campaigns run by Community Shares provide a means for member nonprofits to connect with area employees, sharing their stories and volunteer opportunities.
